Anna & Steven | A Romantic and Joy-Filled Summer Wedding at Silver Lake Country Club
I am so thrilled to share Anna and Steven’s wedding day with you on the blog today! Their celebration at Silver Lake Country Club in Silver Lake, Ohio, was such a joyful, vibrant, and heartfelt day and every part of it felt like them. From pink champagne and polaroids in matching pajamas, to a tearful father-daughter first look, to a sunset getaway in a convertible pink Cadillac, it was a wedding I’ll never forget.
Anna started her morning at the Kent State Hotel with her bridesmaids, all dressed in cozy plum pajama sets. The room was full of laughter, bubbly, and the excitement of what was to come. She looked absolutely stunning in her Loren gown by Katy Korso, a slim, elegant silhouette with flutter sleeves and hand embroidery that fit her like a glove. One of the most touching parts of the morning? Anna’s gift to her mom was a hand-painted portrait of her grandmother, her mom, and herself in their wedding gowns. It was such a thoughtful and emotional moment, and you could truly feel the love between the women in her family.
After getting ready, the girls hopped into a convertible pink Cadillac (yes, really!) and made their way to the venue. It was the most fun way to arrive for an outdoor ceremony, and it set the tone for the entire day. Anna and Steven shared a joyful first look before the ceremony, and then exchanged vows under a breathtaking floral arch created by Garden by the Gate. The lake views, the soft breeze, and the love between them made it such a dreamy moment.
Every detail of their wedding was beautifully thought out. Guests found their seats on a painted floral seating chart wallthat was whimsical and romantic. The outdoor balcony was strung with crystal chandeliers and furnished with soft pink sofas – just perfect for cocktail hour. Inside the reception space, the décor was a full-on floral dream. The ballroom was filled with a mix of tall and low centerpieces, plus oversized urns overflowing with coral peonies and blush roses. The tables were set with gold-beaded chargers and pink printed menus tied with the sweetest little bows. It was elegant, feminine, and full of personality.
Speaking of personal touches, Anna carried a clutch made from her mother’s wedding dress, and Steven wore his father’s original wedding band. Even the napkins featured their dog’s face! I just loved how every little detail felt meaningful and true to who they are as a couple.
One of my favorite things they included was an audio guestbook, where guests could leave recorded messages instead of writing in a book. It’s such a fun and heartfelt keepsake that they’ll be able to revisit again and again throughout their life together.
Anna and Steven’s love story began in a really unique way—they met at work in the middle of the COVID pandemic and bonded quickly during a very uncertain time. After three and a half years of dating, Steven proposed at a place that held special meaning: the hippo exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo, where they had shared a memorable visit the year before. And fun little detail, Anna actually spotted the ring in Steven’s jacket pocket earlier that day, but didn’t say a word!
Their ceremony was lovingly designed by a close family friend and was full of intention and emotion. One of the most powerful moments was when they surprised each other with personal vows. There was laughter, there were tears, and you could just feel how deeply these two love each other.
Their reception was filled with laughter, dancing, and so much happiness. One T Entertainment kept the dance floor full, and Steven’s mom created the most amazing cookie table (an Ohio tradition that everyone looks forward to!). The whole evening felt like a joyful celebration of everything that makes their relationship so special.
At the end of the night, Anna and Steven made their getaway in that pink Cadillac, waving goodbye with huge smiles on their faces. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful summer day.
Congratulations Anna and Steven. Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with us!
