~ Stan Hywet Spring Wedding ~

Nestled in the heart of Akron, Ohio, Stan Hywet Hall is a historic estate that has been transformed into a stunning wedding venue. With its sprawling gardens, intricate architecture, and rich history, Stan Hywet Hall provides the perfect setting for a wedding that transcends time.

Courtney and Kelly prepared for their Stan Hywet spring wedding in the Carriage House. Courtney chose an all lace gown accented with a pearl and crystal hairpiece and earrings. Her bouquet was a loose cascading arrangement of lavender roses and giant Star Gazer lilies. Courtney’s bridesmaids wore lilac gowns and had simple yet elegant bouquets of baby’s breath. Kelly looked dapper in a navy suit layered over a taupe vest and topped off with a lavender bowtie. When choosing her attire, Kelly was looking for something that complimented the natural beauty of Stan Hywet. The attendants also wore navy suits and lavender ties to harmonize with Kelly’s ensemble.

The couple chose to see each other for the first time in the romantic seclusion of the walled English garden. It was a very touching and heartfelt first look between Kelly and Courtney, with lots of laughter and tears. This was followed by an intimate photo shoot on the grounds of the grand estate. The ceremony took place at the end of Birch Tree Allée with an enchanting view of the Lagoon below and the Cuyahoga Valley in the distance. There was not a dry eye as the couple said their “I Do’s” and read their handwritten vows.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued in Stan Hywet’s Manor hall where history and romance merged seamlessly. The ballroom, adorned with candlelight and intricate details, provided a magical atmosphere. The tables were adorned with exquisite floral arrangements, echoing the beauty of the gardens outside.
